THE MEDIA PORTAL FOR THE EUROPEAN LUBRICANTS INDUSTRY November 2017

Lube Magazine - History

Lube Magazine was first published in 1988 as an internal trade association newsletter and after some years was re-launched as a lubricant industry sector magazine.  Today, subscription to Lube Magazine is open to the global lubricants industry.  Lube Magazine is the European lubricants industry magazine following its adoption as the Official Journal of UEIL, the European lubricants industry organisation representing over 450 lubricant blender companies across Europe.

Editors: in its early days LUBE wasn’t a magazine, it was a newsletter to members only and didn’t have an editor. Chris Kettel and then David Seex both BLF Presidents put the editions together. David Margaroni, who became BLF’s Technical Officer, was really LUBE’s first editor under Ian Meadows' Presidency, followed by Rod Parker then Suzy Jarman.

The Magazine has progressively widened its readership to include lubricant end-users and overseas lubrication practitioners who want to keep up-to-date with European developments. Overseas circulation continues to steadily increase.
