    POLARIS Laboratories® has announced the acquisition of Oil Check Laboratory Services Ltd (OCLS), a well-established fluid analysis laboratory headquartered in Doncaster, United Kingdom. The transaction represents a strategic step in POLARIS Laboratories’ expansion into supporting new markets including data centres, power generation and transformer oils, enhancing its international presence and strengthening its ability to serve customers across key global markets.

  • AI software firm IntelliAM acquires Scotland lubrication business

    UK AI software firm IntelliAM AI plc has acquired the business and assets of Scotland-based RBM Lubrications & Monitoring Solutions Ltd (RBM Lubrications), strengthening its operational capabilities and presence in the central belt of Scotland.

    The acquisition, which completed on 1 April 2026, formalises a long-standing relationship between the two businesses, which have worked together as part of the supply chain for more than seven years.

    As part of the deal, seven RBM Lubrications employees have transferred to IntelliAM alongside engineering assets and vehicles, bringing additional experience and capability to the business. RBM Lubrications Founder Brian Sarginson has also joined as Vice President of IntelliAM Scotland.

  • Developing the circular economy for lubricants in Europe: TotalEnergies Acquires Tecoil, a lubricant used oil regeneration specialist

    TotalEnergies has announced the acquisition of Tecoil, a Finnish company specialised in the production of Re-Refined Base Oils (RRBOs), which has the most efficient used oil regeneration process on the market today.

    Tecoil currently operates a production facility of 50,000 tons of RRBOs per year in Hamina, in eastern Finland. Tecoil has developed its own circular economy network for collecting used lubricants in Europe and supplying its plant.

  • Slicker Recycling announces Oil Monster acquisition

    Slicker Recycling, which collects and recycles over 75 million litres of used oil and commercial garage waste every year, has acquired fellow industry specialist, Oil Monster.

    Chester-based Oil Monster employs a team of 13 people and operates a fleet of 10 trucks which collects waste oil throughout the UK.
